Frequently asked questions

When do I need to RSVP?

You can RSVP at any time on our website, but the RSVP deadline is April 11, 2025.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Women can wear short or long dresses (or a jumpsuit/pantsuit), men should wear a suit and tie.

How do I get around if I’m from out of town?

If you’re planning on staying near the wedding venues and only going to places in the immediate vicinity, you can probably get by with Uber/Lyft. If you want to explore anywhere beyond the immediate vicinity of the wedding venues, we highly recommend you rent a car. There is light rail and bus public transport, but it is not very convenient or direct.

Please see the “Travel & Stay” tab for more information on hotels and transportation.

How far are the ceremony & reception venues from each other?

St. Thomas More Catholic Church and The University Club are both located on Summit Avenue in St. Paul, just 1.4 miles away from each other. It is a 5 minute drive, or a 30 minute walk if you are feeling up for a little exercise!

Is there parking at the venues?

Yes! St. Thomas More has a large, free parking lot behind the church. There is also usually ample, free street parking around the church.

We are providing complimentary valet parking at The University Club, which we recommend you take advantage of! There is not a parking lot and street parking can be difficult to find.

What do we do between the ceremony and the reception?

The ceremony starts at 2:00 pm, then there will be a ~1.5 hour gap until the reception starts. There will be a cocktail hour at The University Club at 3:00 pm immediately following the ceremony, with hors d'oeuvres and drinks provided.

We will begin seating people for the reception starting at 4:30 pm, and the wedding party will enter at 4:45 pm. Dinner will be served at 5:00 pm. If you are staying nearby and want to go back to your hotel for a short time after the ceremony, you are more than welcome to do so!
